  • The super cyclone Amphan has had a devastating effect on certain parts of India, particularly the southern part of West Bengal. As millions of people faced the doom of losing their homes, properties, livelihood, and at times lives, some of our alumni batches took the initiative to reach out to the affected, through some aid and lots of compassion. 


  • Shri Mihir Kumar Chatterjee, an alumnus of B E College (1945 Civil), a retired Chief Engineer of PWD, Government of West Bengal, a life member and driving force of B E College Ex-Students' Club, a life member of GAABESU, stepped into the 100th year of his life on 05 June 2020, in fairly good health, and with a strong memory and immense mental strength.


  • Super Cyclonic Storm Amphan was a powerful and deadly tropical Cyclone that caused widespread damage in Eastern India in May 2020.

     

    GAABSU decided to join hands with MUKTI, a non-profit socio economic organisation ( working for Sundarban people in the delta region of South 24 Parghanas in West Bengal ) to fulfil our social responsibilities and help the people of West Bengal in this trying time.


  • As the Covid-19 pandemic wreaks havoc throughout the entire planet, our alumni are not sitting idle. Both as individuals and as groups and batches of former students, many are actively doing their bit to help the society fight against this pandemic.


  • As the Covid-19 pandemic restricts us to our own homes, the healthcare workers have been struggling to cope with the severity of this outbreak. GAABESU has extended its support to the West Bengal Doctors Forum, to help ease a part of their burden.
