NOTICE FOR CONDUCTING ELECTION FOR THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE FOR THE TERM 2025-2027

Kolkata: The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology would set up its second campus in Salt Lake, announced the institute's board of governors chairperson Tejaswini Ananth Kumar at the convocation on Friday.

The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur (Howrah) is set to restore the historical structures on its campus, mostly bearing the imprints of colonial architecture.

IIEST Shibpur NIRF ranking 2024- MoE released the NIRF 2024 ranking for IIEST Shibpur on August 12.This year, IIEST Shibpur has ranked 49th position under the engineering domain.The college is placed between 101-150th NIRF ranking in the overall category.

Kolkata: Vemavarapu MSR Murthy , head of Centre of Rock Excavation Engineering and professor at the mining engineering department of IIT (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, was on Thursday appointed as the full-time director at IIEST.

GAABESU has conducted a Special General Meeting (SGM) on 11th April and the MoA revised version, presently in force, which was earlier approved during AGM of 2022 & 2023, has again been 'formally' approved.

GAABESU, based upon suggestions from senior alumni, has taken a new initiative to archive B E College/IIEST history as seen by our alumni living all around the world.
